The situation

An individual creator or small team selling courses usually wants to launch quickly, keep as much of each sale as possible, and look properly branded from the first day, without hiring a developer. Students expect to pay by UPI, get a certificate when they finish, and see their own progress.

What a creator needs

A course platform that a solo creator can run needs self-paced courses or cohort and drip batches without demanding technical setup, a branded look from the login screen onward, and payments that settle quickly with a low cut taken by the platform. Certificates and progress tracking matter for course completion and for a student's sense of getting somewhere. A creator answering the same student questions repeatedly benefits from something that can take the routine ones off their plate, and a creator building a technical or coding course benefits from having a place for students to actually write and run code, not just watch a video about it.

How Classory fits

Classory gives a creator multi-chapter courses, cohort or weekly-drip batches, one-off, subscription or free pricing, enrolment caps and completion certificates, all on the creator's own branded subdomain or a fully custom domain. Payments run through Razorpay with UPI and card support and GST invoices; with your own Razorpay account, Classory takes 0% commission, or a flat 5% if Classory processes payments for you instead, and there is no setup fee or branding fee either way. Clay, the built-in AI assistant, answers students around the clock and can generate practice questions, and for a technical course, CodeLoop provides an in-browser coding IDE with autograded problems and a practice library. Secure video hosting includes signed, time-limited URLs and a dynamic watermark, streaming up to 4K.

A creator does not need to be technical to run any of this. The platform is meant to be set up from the browser, without writing code or hiring a developer to get a branded workspace live, and a course, a batch and a payment page can all be built from the same dashboard.

What to check first

Classory does not yet support payments outside India; billing runs through Razorpay in rupees, so a creator selling mainly to an international, dollar-paying audience should weigh that before committing. There are no native iOS or Android apps yet, so students use the web app, which works in a mobile browser; there is also no published case study with numbers to point to today, and no self-serve one-click import from another platform, so moving existing students and course content across is assisted rather than automatic. See /trust/ for the complete, current list of what is not yet supported.

How to start

Set up a branded workspace at /onboarding in minutes, no code required. See /pricing/ for current plans and what each one includes; email support is available at hello@classory.app, with priority email support on the Pro and Academy plans.

Frequently asked questions

Does Classory take a cut of every sale? Not if you connect your own Razorpay account; sales settle straight to your bank at 0% commission. If you do not have a gateway yet, Classory collects payments for you and charges a flat 5% to cover processing. Either way, there is no setup or branding fee.

Can I sell a cohort-based batch, not just a self-paced course? Yes. Classory supports cohort and weekly-drip batches alongside self-paced courses, with enrolment caps and completion certificates.

Is there an AI assistant to help answer student questions? Yes, Clay, included on every plan. It answers students, generates practice questions, and can help write and explain code.

Can I sell to students outside India? Not today. Classory bills through Razorpay in rupees; payments outside India are on the not-yet list. See /trust/ for the current status, or /onboarding to start a workspace.
